Since Skip Holtz stepped away from ECU and our Purple and Gold, many have wondered and asked, what in the world did he do with all his Pirate gear? Well, after a little shopping trip earlier today I have found the answer.

The 200YTL crew would like to wish you all Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year. This past year, Pirate Nation has been stronger than ever. Even in the face of adversity, we have continued to stand strong and have all hands on deck. The expansion for the east endzone of Dowdy-Ficklen stadium began on December 14, 2009. Progress is well underway. If you would like to view a live shot of the endzone, check out WITN’s webcam. Also, bids were made on the removal of the scoreboard. They varied from $7,500 to $80,000. Of course ECU chose the $7,500 bid. For a second there, I was wondering if the Lady Pirates already had a basketball practice facility. If only the men's team was playing as well.

After the Pirates' victory over UAB this past weekend and a loss by SMU, the Pirates now control their own destiny on the road to the C-USA Championship. If ECU is able to earn a W this weekend against Southern Miss, ECU would win their division of C-USA and host Houston in the conference championship game at Dowdy Ficklen on December 5th. However, Southern Miss is no easy test.

The ECU men's basketball team is set to take on the Wake Forest Demon Deacons at 2:00pm on Sunday, November 15 inside Greensboro Coliseum. This will be a home game for our Pirates and we need to bring as many fans as possible. In order to help paint Greensboro purple on Sunday, we are giving away free tickets to the game. We have 20 tickets that we want to give to members of the Pirate Nation. The first 20 people to comment or e-mail us will secure them and we will meet you outside of Greensboro Coliseum before the game to get them to you.
