Eight ECU football games on the slate with MASN

Earlier today, MASN announced a renewed partnership with the Pirates where they will be carrying eight games throughout the 2009 East Carolina football season. This is big news for the Pirates and its fans as we set sail into a new year filled with great opportunities to get into the national spotlight.

A Great Shirt For An Even Better Cause

If you have ever read Boneyard Banter, there is a pretty good chance you know who Whitey is. He could just be another username on Boneyard that you see replying in a funny way to a topic or coming up with a clever nickname for something about the Pirates. However, Whitey’s presence on Boneyard could mean a lot more than that if you are one of the people that has been fortunate enough to be touched by his kindness and sincerity. If you don’t read Boneyard (and you should) then let me pass along an incredible story about one of the biggest East Carolina University fans that I have ever come into contact with.

Old Dominion & ISP Sports team up with ECU Football to help with away games…

The Pirates have a new badass 18-wheeler to haul the football gear around the country for away games. Thanks to Old Dominion Freight Lines and ISP Sports for sponsoring the truck. I also had a little fun with Jerry Reed's 'East Bound & Down' lyrics by making them a little more Pirate friendly. Check out the new lyrics and a gallery of pictures of the new equipment truck.

Armanti Edwards’ Lawn Service

I know that the news is a little old now. If, for some reason, you haven't heard that Armanti Edwards ran over his own foot with a lawnmower, he did. He is expected to be back to play against the Pirates but will probably miss almost every practice leading up to it. The whole situation sounds a little sneaky because of the lack of details.
