It’s that time of the year again. On August 1st, over 150 ladies will come streaming out of the pirate ship onto Bagwell Field at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium. They will all be following Skip Holtz and the rest of the coaching staff as they spend the day learning the ins and outs of college football.
For the fifth consecutive year, Coach Skip Holtz will host the Annual Ladies Football Clinic. Attending this clinic is a must for any lady interested in learning more about Pirate football or just collegiate football in general. Last year, approximately 175 women showed up (pictured above), mostly dressed in their favorite purple and gold attire. This year the football staff is hoping for much of the same.
The clinic begins at 8:30 on August 1 with a continental breakfast followed by a tour of the Murphy Center, weight room, locker rooms and Bagwell Field. Each attendee will also be provided with a “Football Survival Kit,” including a tote bag with accessories. Ladies, bring your friends out for a fun day on the turf and enjoy this chance to learn from the best about the ins and outs of college football. If you are still unsure about attending this year, check out this article from the Daily Reflector about last years ladies clinic because I have the feeling that it will make you want to go.
