In the new era of connectivity via PC’s, Cell Phones, PDA’s, and anyhting else with an Internet connection, the ECU Pirates are keeping us all well informed. Through sites such as Facebook, Myspace and Twitter we have been able to find out news about Pirate baseball, basketball, football and the ECU Pirate Club before it ever makes it up on their official ECU site.
For example, Twitter has been an avenue for teams, coaches, players, and affiliates to express their views in 140 characters or less. The ECU Pirate Club has kept us up to date with membership numbers and its Annual Fundraising Auction while Coach Skip Holtz has kept us informed on the current state of recruiting. If you do not have a Twitter account, I recommend you set one up and follow the organizations and people below to stay informed with up to date news and information regarding ECU.

Another avenue that has been readily used to get information out to the public is Facebook. You can become fans of ECU and its affiliates on Facebook and receive breaking news regarding Student Pirate Club numbers from the ECU Pirate Club and scores and highlights from the ECU Football page. Boneyard Banter also has a group, and for those of you who want to know the real names of the people behind the handles, check out the link to the right of their Facebook page.
If you know of any other ECU affiliated people, teams, or organizations we should follow, please shoot us an email at 200YearsTooLate@gmail.com. College programs are staying connected with their fans in many new ways and it is great to see ECU keeping Pirate Nation up to date with all the latest news.
