On Saturday, the East Carolina Pirate baseball team (a.k.a. The Diamond Bucs) won the 2009 Conference USA regular season title after sweeping the Memphis Tigers in an exciting series at Clark-LeClair Stadium in Greenville, NC. This also clinched them the #1 seed at the 2009 Conference-USA tournament in Hattiesburg, MS. Here is a video of the Diamond Bucs celebrating their regular season title:
Tomorrow, the Pirates are going to be facing the UCF Knights at 4pm CDT. According to ECUPirates.com:
Each game of the championship will be streamed live on ConferenceUSA.com. The championship game of the tournament on Sunday, May 24 will be televised on a same-day tape delay basis by CBS College Sports. The title game will air on CBS C at 6:30 p.m. CDT. The tournament champion receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship.
